Madison Preston

Madison joined Purcell Taylor Lawyers as a solicitor after working as the Associate to the Honourable Justice North of the Supreme Court of Queensland. She practices primarily in family law, aiding Eddie Wood, Lescha Lawson, and Michael Purcell of our office in all areas, including children’s matters, property matters, divorce and domestic violence matters.

Madison understands that family law dealings are one of the more difficult times in a person’s life. Guided by her passion for the law and drive to help others, Madison strives to make the family law process as uncomplicated as she can. Her experience as an Associate in the Supreme Court of Queensland means she is well versed in high pressure environments and dealings with other solicitors, which takes the stress off you.

Born and raised in Mount Isa, Madison is a North Queensland local. She studied a Bachelor of Laws with Honours at James Cook University and was the recipient of numerous awards including First Class Honours and the University Medal upon graduating. Madison is currently studying for her Masters of Applied Laws (Family Law).

Madison is admitted in the Supreme Court of Queensland and to the High Court of Australia. She is a member of the Queensland Law Society, the Townsville District Law Association, The Family Law Practitioners Association of Queensland, and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
